Guadalupe L. Antu

Lupe was born in Mexico and lived a full life.

She was a devoted follower of Our Lady of Guadalupe and let her faith guide everything she did.  At just 12 years old, she began working as a cook and housekeeper, and over time became known for her delicious meals and hospitality.

No one ever left Lupe’s home hungry.  She welcomed everyone with a homemade meal, something to drink, and often sent them home with a “to-go” box for the next day.  Her kitchen was always open.

Lupe had a special gift with plants.  Even the smallest cutting would grow under her care.  She loved working in her yard and made sure her neighborhood stayed clean and safe.  She looked out for her neighbors and checked in on them often.

One of her favorite things to do was search flea markets and garage sales for good deals- most of which she gave away.  Clothes, furniture, and decorations often ended up in the homes of friends, family and neighbors.

Lupe’s life was caring and generous.  She will be missed.
