Michael Allen Davis
Michael's funeral will take place on February 5 at 11:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with a reception following at 12:30 pm.
Mike was called home on January 9, 2026, in Hong Kong, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife, Connie, daughter, Allison, his mother, Patricia, and siblings, Susan, Chris (Laura), and Lisa, and many nieces and nephews.
Mike grew up playing sports, enjoyed camping and being outdoors, and was a voracious reader. He studied civil engineering at UT at Austin, and worked in concrete forms, which took him eventually to Hong Kong. There he met his wife, Connie, and they later welcomed their daughter, Allison.
He and his family traveled extensively through Asia, scuba diving in some of Asia’s most beautiful waters, taking breathtaking motorcycle rides and hikes through Thailand’s mountains, and sampling all the delicious foods along the way. Mike took many short hikes around the hills and waterfront of Hong Kong with his beloved dog, Maddie.
From drafting plans to the execution of his vision, Mike enjoyed a good project. On trips home, he’d train willing nephews as he worked. Mike was a great cook and foodie who loved sampling, recreating, and sharing various cuisines. He loved his Longhorns and was an avid Spurs fan. He cheered on the Spurs from Hong Kong, converting new fans, and took great comfort in their games his final weeks.
Mike will be remembered as being sharp-witted, generous with his time and many talents, and a proud champion of all those he loved.
