Gonzalo Huizar Ingle

Gonzalo’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 5, at 11:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi.

Gonzalo H. Ingle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on October 27, 2025. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Gonzalo and Mary Ingle.

At 19, Gonzalo joined the Air Force and following his service, he began his career at the historic Gunter Hotel, which led to more than 25 successful years in the hotel industry. His work later took him to Mexico, where he worked with the Mexican government to promote tourism. Gonzalo was known for his  love of golf, colorful sense of style, refusing to wear gray or brown, his love for travel, and his devotion to family and dogs. His generosity extended to many organizations he supported over the years.

Gonzalo is preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo and Mary Ingle; his son, Gary Ingle; and his sisters, Yolanda, Debbie, and Rosemary. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Toni Ingle; his children Phyllis Ingle-Jordan (Stephen), Liz Ingle Bell (Bill), Kenneth Ingle, and Mark Ingle (Sylvia), whom he shared with his former wife, Frances Ingle; and his children from his second marriage, Stefanie Garcia (Louis) and Michael Villarreal (Amy). He is also survived by his brother Manuel Ingle (Mary Jane), 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. 

During his final months, he was cared for with deep love and dedication by his granddaughters, Raven, Megan, and Courtney, who cherished every moment with him. He will be remembered for his wit and unwavering devotion to his wife, family, faith, friends, and beloved dogs.
