Dennis Charles Moroney

Dennis’s funeral will be held on Saturday, September 5, at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi.

Dennis Charles Moroney, born July 20, 1947 in Rockville Centre, NY, passed away July 27, 2026 in San Antonio, TX. Survived by his loving wife, Mary "Barbie" Moroney, and his beloved daughters and their families, Meredith and Paul Rugani, Lindsay Moroney and Joseph Riippi, and Morgan Moroney and Jessie Spruill; and his grandchildren, Conor and Alex Rugani, and Everly and Damien Riippi.

Dennis earned an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University. He was a retired credit card executive whose career included senior-level positions at Citicorp, Macy's NY, Chevy Chase Bank, and USAA. He was also the CEO of several technology and financial services startups. Dennis served on the boards of the Consumer Credit Council, the Trellis Company, and the Masters Leadership Program Alumni Association. Dennis enjoyed sailing, golf, gardening, and classic cars.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 5, at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 De Zavala Rd, San Antonio, TX.
