We Will Come To You | Archbishop Gustavo

Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller has written a new Pastoral Letter entitled “We Will Come To You: United in Solidarity with Our Brothers and Sisters in Migration. In this letter, he reflects on the current climate surrounding immigration enforcement in our country, and he invites all of us — no matter where we stand politically — to look at this moment through the lens of the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching. He draws on Scripture, the teaching of the Church, and his own family's story to remind us that every human being bears the image of God, and that Christ Himself identifies with the stranger, the displaced, and the vulnerable. The letter is available in English and Spanish online, and on our website. We also have a limited number of printed copies — in both English and Spanish — available in the Parish Office. We encourage every parishioner to take the time to read this letter and prayerfully reflect on how we are each called to welcome the stranger who is Christ among us. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to open our hearts as we do.
