We Welcome Don McCloskey!

Howdy y’all, my name is Don McCloskey. I will be your go to for anything maintenance at this beautiful parish going forward. I have been a San Antonio area resident since 1994. I raised my three boys in Live Oak, Texas until 2024 when I married my soulmate at OLPH in Selma, Texas. I currently live in Schertz, Texas. I was born & raised in Orange Grove, a small town west of Corpus Christi. I spent 10 years in Lubbock Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech University. My first wife and I moved to San Antonio in 1994 and started raising our family. I worked for an architects office for 24 years, had my handyman business for 7 years, worked for a large construction company for 4 years, and a short stint at a nursing home, before being blessed with this opportunity to serve you all. Through the years, I was an alter server, attained my Eagle Scout, and was a city councilman. I have been heavily involved in many ministries with OLPH Catholic Church in Selma Texas, including many ACTS retreats, Boy Scouts, our Knights of Columbus council, St. Michael’s Society, parish council, Lector, usher, Eucharistic Minister, and cofacilitate a divorce series for Catholics with my beautiful wife. I feel the Holy Spirit has led me here as I continue my journey with the Lord. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you. Thank you and many blessings.

-Don McCloskey
