Troop 498 Update

Troop 498 has had a busy and exciting start to 2026, marked by growth, service, and adventure. In January, the Troop launched Venture Crew 498, a co‑ed high‑adventure program for ages 14– 20. The scouts also braved freezing temperatures during a winter survival campout, building and sleeping in their own emergency shelters. In February, we saw the Troop grow to nearly 80 Scouts, with highlights including a mountain‑biking campout and a SCUBA trip to Balmorhea, TX. In March, our Scouts joined hundreds from across the city for a large campout and celebrated a major milestone—our first Eagle Scout.
