Farewell & Best Wishes to Les Durette
Dear St. Francis of Assisi Parish Family, After much prayer and reflection, the time has come for me to say goodbye to my St. Francis family. I have been blessed to call St. Francis my parish home since 2007. Throughout these years, I have been incredibly grateful for the kindness, support, and friendship of the staff, parishioners, and the many wonderful people I have met along the way. This community has truly been a blessing in my life.
Since 2017, I have had the privilege of serving as a volunteer, and over the past year, I was honored to serve as a member of the St. Francis staff. Whether volunteering or working alongside this amazing team, it has been a joy to give back to a parish that has given so much to me. I will always cherish the memories, friendships, and faith-filled moments we have shared together.
As I begin this new chapter, my journey will take me to Houston, where I will be closer to my children and grandchildren. While it is difficult to leave a place that has meant so much to me, I am excited for the opportunity to spend more time with my family and create new memories with them.
I will always carry this parish and each of you in my heart. Please keep me and my family in your prayers as we begin this new adventure, and know that you will remain in mine. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, prayed with me, and made St. Francis feel like home. May God continue to bless St. Francis of Assisi and everyone who calls this parish home.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Les Durette
