Centering Prayer Meetings

Each Thursday, parishioners gather in a sacred circle to practice communal Centering Prayer — a form of Christian silent prayer that moves us beyond words and thoughts into a deeper experience of God's presence within. After 20 minutes of silence, we share a time of prayerful reading and reflection around a selected spiritual book. All are welcome to join at any time, but we'd like to extend a special invitation to begin with us on the first Thursday in September, when we start a new book together: The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. Books will be provided for all participants. We meet from 10–11 am every Thursday in the Good Shepherd Room, San Damiano Building. Questions?
