The KDO ministry was created to meet the needs of the home parent as well as the young children of the community. The program is geared toward enriching children’s needs in a positive, loving atmosphere. The KDO day is filled with a variety of fun hands-on crafts, a music time, a chapel time (every Thursday), a quiet time and of course lots of love.

The day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 2:30 PM. Each classroom has certain guidelines to follow but there is plenty of room for individuality and expansion. If in a certain room a child’s development displays that he or she is ready for an older activity then we will work as hard as possible to provide that child with what he or she needs. In our infant program we stress a lot of one-on-one loving care from the teachers. The infants also take part in outside activities, music time, and chapel time. The older children have a large variety of activities offered throughout the day. There are blocks of time designated to physical exercise, music, finger plays, creating and crafting, learning centers, and free play. Throughout the program, we emphasize respect for others, sharing, self-esteem, grooming, assertiveness, and also the love of life.

Each month our teachers compile a calendar of all the activities that will take place during that month. The parents are provided this calendar and any other notes that may be needed to inform them of upcoming events.
