Men's Spirituality

• When: Last Saturday of each Month (unless a holiday weekend)

• Who: Men of all ages

We begin our fourth year of our Men's Spirituality gatherings designed for and lead by men. It is open to men of all ages. We use books about spirituality to examine our lives and help deepen our spirituality. We meet on the last Saturday of month from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. It is a group of men who have decided to walk the deliberate spiritual journey. We gather in the church sanctuary at 6:00 a.m. and spend 20 minutes in contemplation. We then move into the day chapel for prayer and listen to a sharing from one of men in our group about one of the chapters of the book we are using. We then take time to journal about what we have heard and where we are on our faith journeys.We then gather for small group discussions, sharing our thoughts and experiences with others, gaining support and insight from our brothers. We may occasionally engage in rituals which make tangible the teaching of the day. We end our time in large group for final reflections and prayer.

We meet at 6:00 a.m. to make it possible for men with young families to be a part of a group of men who want to deepen their spirituality. They can come for prayer, reflection and support without taking time away from their families.

We will use "How Big is Your God" by Paul Coutinho, SJ as our spritiual resource this year. Copies of the book can be purchased in the parish office.
