Parents are the first and primary catechist of children.

Classes are not offered on Sundays to provide parents the opportunity to celebrate Mass with their children, and to spend the day together as a family. We hope all of you take advantage of this opportunity to add to your children’s Faith Formation.

Once the new faith formation term begins,

all our parishioners will have access to Call to Faith e-connect.

This will be a wonderful on-line tool for parents, children and catechists.

Prayer of a Parent

Heavenly Father, make me a better parent.
Teach me to understand my children,
to listen patiently to what they have to say,
and to answer all their questions kindly.
Keep me from interrupting or contradicting them.
Make me as courteous to them as I would have them be to me.
May I never laugh at their mistakes,
or resort to ridicule when they displease me.
Bless me with the confidence to grant them all their
reasonable requests,
and the courage to deny them privileges I know
will do
them harm.
May I not rob them of the opportunity to think, to choose,
and to make decisions for themselves.
Make me fair and just and kind.
And fit me, O Lord, to be loved and respected and imitated by
my children.

A Child's Prayer

O God, thank you for creating me.
Help me to respect
all that you have created.
Thank you for sending Jesus.
It is good to know that
Jesus is with me
even when I am afraid.
I am glad to have your Holy Spirit
guide me in making good choices.
I will try to follow the example
of your saints, especially Mary,
your mother.
I will show my love for you
by loving others.
